Patent Law is offering an ever increasing range of rights, such as national patents, "classical" European patents and the soon-to-be-introduced new European patents with unitary effect, as well as utility patents, protection certificates and plant variety rights. • Representation in infringement proceedings before the national civil and criminal courts
• Representation in infringement proceedings before the (soon-to-be-opened) new Unified Patent Court
• Nullity and opposition proceedings (in collaboration with patent attorneys) before the Austrian Patent Office and subsequently in the courts
• Opposition proceedings (in collaboration with patent attorneys) before the European Patent Office
• Strategy Consulting (possibilities of dispute avoidance; selecting the most suitable judicial system, e.g., opt-out from the Unified Patent Court system; optimal exploitation of intellectual property rights, e.g. licensing vs sale of property right)
• Preparation and review of contracts (including their antitrust aspects), particularly patent license agreements, patent sales contracts, research and development contracts, know-how license agreements, confidentiality agreements
• Employee inventions: examination of the prerequisites for exercising the right of first refusal, enforcement/defense of claims arising therefrom, wording and examination of the provisions concerning service inventions in service contracts and special agreements
• Register research (APO, EPO, DPMA)
